Our virtual program will enable you to learn, listen and enjoy as we grow the dialogue to support women and girls in Afghanistan as they continue the fight to maintain their hard-earned rights. Our Calgary Chapter Chair Dr. Behnoush Ahranjani will open the program. The twist this year is that, with the exception of our LIVE CHAT with Sally Armstrong (see side panel), our speakers are coming to you via video clips, enabling you to access the program at your convenience from June 17-30.
Our contributors include:
- Guest speaker and award winning journalist and author Sally Armstrong
- CW4WAfghan Executive Director Dr. Lauryn Oates, Senior Director Murwarid Ziayee and Co-Founder Janice Eisenhauer
- Journalist and Documentary Filmmaker Mellissa Fung
- Durkhanai Ayubi, Author of Parwana: Recipes and Stories from an Afghan Kitchen

We believe our program of speakers, a documentary short, music playlists and more will broaden your understanding of the importance of supporting and giving voice to the people of Afghanistan. At the same time, we want you to share their love for their music, food and companionship.
