Eyes on Afghanistan

Eyes on Afghanistan

With the re-election of Justin Trudeau, CW4WAfghan ran a timely message in three national newspapers on Saturday, September 25 reminding the Prime Minister of his commitments to Afghans and the need for vigorous monitoring and response from our government now.

Seven-year-old Hasti has been watching as events in her country of birth unfold. She relocated to Canada with her parents and sister from Kabul three years ago, and having friends and family who are still in the country, she told her mother that she had something to say.

Her words are a powerful reminder that millions of people are facing a human rights crisis that requires eyes on Afghanistan.

From Hasti’s powerful message to eight-year-old Izmir Kassam who ran a half marathon supporting education for girls, young people share their clear-eyed view of a situation that should concern all of us: We continue working to keep Eyes on Afghanistan.
