VACANCY: Country Director (Afghanistan)

CW4WAfghan is seeking an experienced female leader from the education and/or not-for-profit/NGO sector with proven ethical and trustworthy leadership abilities to serve as the organization’s Country Director in Afghanistan. In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing all human resources, finance, operations and program management needs of the country office. This full-time position requires visionary leadership, and the ability to inspire and motivate staff and effectively convey genuine belief in and passion for the mission of the organization. The Country Director will be reporting to the Senior Director located in Canada and accountable to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. We are seeking to meet candidates who possess the following qualities: exceptional work ethic, proven management and leadership skills, and excellent communication and facilitation skills.

VACANCY: TTC Partnerships Coordinator (Afghanistan)

The TTC Partnership Coordinator will oversee overall GETT programming in each of the four TTCs partnering in this project, and will support TTC management teams to implement project activities on site in the teacher colleges. This position will involve developing and sustaining productive relationships with each of the four partner institutions that support TTC ownership and engagement over project activities, capacity development outcomes for TTC leadership and faculty, and the achievement of project results. The role includes frequent regular contact with focal points at each site, and eventually, regular travel to the four partner locations, to coach and support key figures in the TTCs. We are seeking to hear from candidates with a demonstrated track record of success in teacher education and/or educational leadership who is looking for a unique opportunity to support the country’s teacher education institutions, and to be part of change processes that will improve educational outcomes for girls and women.
